Transfiguration Class One

Severus rolled his eyes at Bellatrix's apparent dislike of school items. He continued to stare at the Professor, trying to make it look like Bellatrix had nothing to do with the destruction of school property.

Eric hurried into the class late. He glanced up at the Professer and smiled "Sorry Professer" he said quickly before he looked around and sat down in the seat next to Kayalynn Green.

Kayalynn looked at Eric and smirked. "Sleep in?" she asked quietly.

Kaya laughed and shook her head. "Nice." she had her lyrics notebook out and started doodling on her latest song. She smiled as she read over the lyrics and knew she'd have to show her friends them later.

Narcissa had been running later than usual. She had been too caught up in the dorms. She hurriedly rushed into the Transfiguration class. Horrified, she realized class had already started. She avoided eye contact with the others as she targeted an open seat. She hoped no one had noticed as she took a seat by the door close to Catalina. She instantly pulled out her book, quill, and some parchment.

Catalina was surprised when Narcissa sat down next to her. She turned very slightly so as to not attract attention from the Professor and said, "Hello. How are you?" She kept her tone friendly, for she didn't want to get on the wrong side of one of the Black sisters. But, she had a feeling that, although Narcissa was a pureblood maniac like Bellatrix, she was far nicer.

Narcissa turned towards Catalina. The fact that she had spoken to her surprised Narcissa. Being from two different houses, they had never conversed before. Even though Catalina was not a Slytherin, Narcissa did not dislike her.

With a genuine smile, Narcissa said in a low, friendly whisper, <<I am doing well. And you?>>

Catalina was thankful for a reply from the Slytherin. She had assumed the girl would just ignore her or bite at her like Bellatrix did. With a smile, she replied, "Very well, thanks." She giggled slightly before saying, "You and Bellatrix are not so alike. How is it that you two get along?"

Lucius rushed into the classroom. He had lost track of time trying to finish up a few essays. Narcissa was seated near the door. He turned toward the professor and said, "Professor, I apologize for my tardiness." With that he took a seat next to his love.

After he had pulled out his book and supplies, he looked over at Narcissa with a grin. She was seated next to some girl. Out of curiosity, he leaned forward to see it was Catalina. He noticed that they had been talking, and his mouth instantly formed into a frown. His Cissy was conversing with a Ravenclaw. Not just any Ravenclaw, but this one.

With narrowed eyes, Lucius cleared his throat in a demanding manner.

The giggle had taken Narcissa by surprise, but she quickly dismissed it. Narcissa thought for a moment. The question was not expected, either. She did not know what Catalina meant. Sure her sister was cruel and more wicked at times, but unlike many people, Narcissa saw more similarities than differences. They both prided their purity of blood and were very loyal--perhaps Bellatrix more so than she was.

Before Narcissa could answer, she heard Lucius on her other side. She turned to face him. His face looked almost menacing, Narcissa found while studying his face. She knew that he disapproved her speaking to the Ravenclaw, but she thought his subtle demanding was unnecessary.

Not wanting to make him angrier, Narcissa spoke with a small smile, <<Hello, Lucius. I see you are late as well.>>

Without him knowing, Narcissa grabbed a small piece of parchment. She began to write a note. It was brief, but she made sure she tried to answer Catalina's question. Without drawing attention to herself, she passed it to Catalina.

Bellatrix and I get along alright. She is a little more extreme than I am, to put it nicely. Sure we bicker, but that is just how our relationship is.
