"Yeah, just a bit." Ben chuckled and leaned his head back. He looked up at Catalina with a affectionate gaze, enjoying the feeling of her warm body pressed against his. "Just get some sleep for now."

Catalina pursed her lips in annoyance, smirking up at him. Her sapphire eyes twinkled as they rolled. "Fine," she said tiredly. Moving her body so that it was pressed against his, she laid comfortably in his arms, never wanting to let go. She felt safe being so close to him, and she had never known that it would have been possible for her to feel this safe ever again.

She was silent for a moment before she whispered, "I love you, Ben." Then, without another pause, she was asleep.

Ben could still feel the burning need for Catalina, with much difficulty he forced himself to be satisfied with just this moment. He situated himself so Catalina would be more comfortable. Her words were unexpected and sudden. Ben couldn't find the words to respond. It was simple enough yet those three words just wouldn't come out. With sudden realization, he was positive he did love her.

He stroked her hair and kissed her lightly on the forehead. Her soft breathing indicated that she was already asleep. "I love you too Catalina. More than you'll ever know."
